Sermon, Applying Biblical Principles to the St Lucie County Fire District Proposed Additional Tax Titled Authorization to Fund Fire Protection Services with Annual Non-Ad Valorem Assessments, by Pastor Bryan Longworth, Covenant Tabernacle
The St Lucie County Fire District proposed additional property tax titled Authorization to Fund Fire Protection Services with Annual Non-Ad Valorem Assessments. Property taxes violate the biblical principle of inheritance and property rights because if you don’t pay property taxes, the government will take your property. (See Deuteronomy 19:14.) In this short sermon, Pastor Bryan Longworth shows how this tax would violate biblical principles of proper taxation. Additional, Longworth shows that there is still much waste in the Saint Lucie County Fire Department that could free up the additional funds to pay for the needed equipment.

We recommend voting no on St. Lucie County Proposition 6 titled Authorization to Fund Fire Protection Services with Annual Non-Ad Valorem Assessments.
